Blind Eagle - The Story of Sampson

I had the strength of a divine king, but couldn't see past the lies, Tell me what use are the eyes when the mind is already made blind. Judge of my people, but self-made executioner and jury, the more bloodstains on my hands the more my life held in the balance and through a certain woman it was given knowledge of my true strength and now I can never see my father's face, all I can hear now are his cries, "Son! Don't fall for the trap. We have those of our own you can choose, you know. Never surrender your heart to whom your enemies can use against you. Leave the strange woman alone or your feet will surely take you to darkness," But I said, "Father, you gotta get for me, she pleases me well." Plus I had the strength of a divine king, but couldn't see past the lies, So tell me again, what use are the eyes when the mind is already made blind. You see, women were my vice, every harlot feeding the seed of corruption, watered with pride kept in arrogance, I would ultimately see my lust bloom in for…her. The last woman I would ever see. You should have seen her. Her hue like bronze formed, polished like crystalized deep mahogany marble, breath like sweet scents of cinnamon rose from Persia, words caramel with Egyptian wild honey, her lap like imported pillows of pure vanilla and jasmine…she was breathtaking. All it took were lips and eyes, I was taken from hips and thighs, I was consumed with lust, I was consumed to trust my impulses till selfishness consumed the two of us, I couldn't tell from perfume hell would pursue two perverse lives, My sins consented with hers, ours, to turn truth to just lies, As we just lie together, all we do is just lie to each other. It's hard to call it a deception, because could it really be deceptive when I forfeited critical thought and commenced with this pretension I could safely advance with lovesick intentions, but her presence burning so deep like a flaming dart, my neural pathways severed, searing like hot iron through my retina, skewing the perception that I couldn't detect the depth of the spear embedded in my flesh that she twisted, this twisted damsel was a devil's best weapon. But I was like a divine King, But from taking naps it was clear I was losing here, I dread I've been locked and now brought down to a Caesar. What to make of this man who couldn't see past the lies, So I lost vision to show they was no good use of this mind, Late was the lesson learned, But though I join the ranks of the blind, It's funny how I now see the true waste of the eyes. - Mike O.
